Submit Your Abstract

Regular abstract submission is now closed. Abstracts for Late News Papers can be submitted from February 6, 2017 until April 2, 2017

 


 

Authors are invited to submit a two page camera-ready abstract in PDF file format via the EDAS platform.

The two-page abstract needs to be complemented by a 100-word abstract summary, which will be used to prepare the program booklet.

Abstract format guidelines

The format for CSW 2017 abstracts consists of one page of text and one page of figures. Page size should be ISO A4 (210 x 297 mm) with margins of 2.5 cm all around, using only standard fonts Times New Roman and Symbols with a font size of 12 pt. If you cannot set up for A4 or metric, use the 8 ½ x 10 inch North American standard and leave a 1 inch margin on top/bottom/left/right. The text page should include the authors' names, address and affiliation. Please identify the corresponding author in the footnote of the first page with email address, phone and fax number.

The abstract should be converted in Adobe pdf-format.

Abstract submission instructions

 

The abstract submission procedure will be managed via EDAS (Paper submission management System).

 

Logging in to EDAS

Using EDAS requires logging in first. If you already have an account enter your email address (or your numeric EDAS ID#) and password in the fields on the form on the EDAS home page.

If you do not know whether you have an account on EDAS, try entering your email address or name. EDAS will check for your account and let you know whether you are registered or not.

If you do not remember your password, leave the password field blank, and EDAS will send a password by email.

If you do not yet have an account on the EDAS system, click on the link to “create your new user account”. Complete the form and click on the “New User” button there. Mandatory fields are listed in red; optional fields are listed in black. The password for accessing the EDAS system will be sent to you via email. Once you receive your password, you should return to EDAS and log in.

 

Registering your Abstract

After logging in to EDAS, you will directly be forwarded to the abstract submission form. Please enter the requested information about your abstract in the appropriate fields (paper title, key words, 100-word abstract summary and click on the “Submit” button at the bottom of that page. This will open a page that acknowledges your abstract registration.

Then you can enter the names of your co-authors. Enter each author using either their EDAS identifier or their last name. Each author must be registered in EDAS. If authors are not yet registered in EDAS, you will be prompted to register them.

 

Submitting and Uploading your Abstract

After registration of your submission, you must upload your full length abstract in PDF format. To upload your abstract right after registering your submission, simply follow EDAS instructions. Alternatively, you can upload your abstract later from your EDAS homepage. From there, you can upload your abstract by clicking on the “Upload” icon in the line that shows your paper's listing.

After you return to your CSW 2017 EDAS homepage, you will see your uploaded abstract. If you click on the abstract number, you will see the submission details.

After successful abstract submission, you will receive an e-mail confirmation. If you do not receive any confirmation please get back to: eva-maria.forstmeier@iaf.fraunhofer.de.

 

Revising your Abstract or Account

After abstract submission, you can revise your submission at any time before the submission deadline, April 2, 2017.

To revise your submission, open your CSW 2017 EDAS homepage. Just upload a new PDF version the same way you did already for the previous version. Please do not submit a revised version as a separate new abstract, since this will duplicate the abstract registration records.

You can also revise your own EDAS account information from your CSW 2017 EDAS homepage. To do so, click on the link at the top to edit your profile.

Notification of acceptance

Authors will be notified about acceptance of their abstracts after the review process by the program committee (April 2017).
